CLAUDIA OCHOA
Claudia Ochoa, founder and principal designer, started very early in the fashion trade as a child helping her parents at their small manufacturing facility. Every day after school she had to put in some time before play or homework. There were fabrics, trims, hardware and sewing machines everywhere – it’s what everyone around her did to earn a living. So, it was only natural that she would go on to earn a degree in fashion design at Colombia’s premier design school, Colegiatura Colombiana de Diseno. Beginning her professional career in Colombia, she started working as an assistant designer at the fashion house of Carlos Pinel, and then as head designer for the house brands of Cadenalco, the biggest retail chain in Colombia. Her last position in Colombia was as the chief designer for the sportswear line at SunSet, a chain of women's boutiques.
